Video: Editor and the AI

As AI takes some huge leaps, we’re taking it seriously. The TL;DR is that it’s not ready to take over copyediting* today, but we don’t know where were are on the hockey stick graph of development: will it take over today, next month, or in 10 years? The one thing we know for sure is that the change is rapid, uncontrolled and exponential. By the time you see this presentation created March 30, 2023, the information is likely to be out of date. Even at the time of writing, when ChatGPT-4 was available to the public, the development team was already working on something like version 10. So keep learning!
