Seventy hours of word-related hilarity and high fashion. Not what you’d expect from a correction of editors? Staid nitpickers of obscura these editors are not. There wasn’t even a cat in sight (though there was one (service) dog, and a persistent rubber chicken). Today, in my Canadian, Eh? column at Copyediting.com, I look back at the conference in Toronto this past weekend.

The buttons pictured were at the conference. Vanessa Wells physically made them, Jan Safran designed them, Dick Margulis formatted them, and Lori Burwash took the photo. An international collaborative effort by four people situated nowhere near each other, like the rest of the conference.
My session, summarized by an attendee.
