My editor pal @BarbAdamski created this handy decision tree at work this week, and said I could share it. Now you’ll be able to decide at a glance if your project needs an editor.
Can you guess how much criticism this has gotten for downplaying the role that editors have in editing graphics? Can you also picture the conversation in front of the white board and how much detail / caveats everyone wanted included and how the editor (Barb, in this case) might have had to remind everyone of the purpose of a flowchart and the constraints of the medium (white board)?
